About The Role

 

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an eFX support analyst to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London.

As a front office eFX application support you will join a diverse and dynamic team. This position will have direct interaction with business users, development teams and senior IT management. There will be a specific focus on technical skills and communication style. The role will require you to work with a variety of systems such as Jetstream FX, D3, Tradepoint, FXCB, SharpFX, Geneos, JIRA, Diana, and Confluence WIKI.

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical support of eFX systems to a global user base, both internal and external
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate with core teams (infrastructure/business/development)
  • Safeguarding the eFX production infrastructure for support, scalability, and stability - managing over 250+ servers
  • Management of large projects e.g., datacentres moves and migrations
  • Infrastructure capacity management - Disk/CPU/Memory considerations and future planning
  • Coordinating with hardware and software obsolescence programs
  • BCP and DRP Planning and execution
  • Change & Release Management knowledge
  • Planning and executing changes across multiple platforms
  • ITRS/Geneos monitoring/editing
  • Network knowledge covering Colo/WAN and General connectivity
  • Firewalls/Switches/Load Balancers
  • Development and scripting skills (Not required but useful)

 

About You

Requirements

  • At least 1 year experience in an application support role
  • Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline
  • General understanding of financial markets and products, in particular FX
  • Experience in IT for capital market (business, products, applications)
  • Worked in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment supporting mission-critical applications and/or infrastructure, facing off to demanding customers
