About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a PMO to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Telford.

Our client is seeking a proactive PMO professional to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the project and operational management of a range of projects, demonstrating experience in managing multiple stakeholders, including client-facing roles, and possessing a strong financial background.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project management methodologies, tools, and templates to ensure project consistency and quality across all initiatives
  • Monitor project performance, track progress, and report on project status to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability
  • Ensuring strict adherence to governance processes
  • Develop and manage project governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and policies
  • Meticulous budget tracking
  • Comprehensive analysis and tracking of monthly actuals
  • Ability to forecast data and provide detailed reporting
  • Effective risk management
  • Ability to manage stakeholders at various levels in the organisation

About You

  • 5+ years’ experience working in a PMO/Project environment
  • A strong background in Financial Management (budget tracking, actuals/forecast analysis)
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects and contracts simultaneously, with the capability to handle high volumes of work efficiently
  • Knowledge of all PMO Service offerings
  • Experience with driving development and adoptions of good practice, coaching and oversight of project’s delivery status, risks and issues
  • The ability to identify process improvements and the ability to actively drive changes where needed
  • Must be eligible for SC Clearance
