About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Know Your Client (KYC) Project Manager to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London.

Our client is a global, cross-divisional function within the Investment Bank (IB) Origination & Advisory (O&A) franchise. As a Project Manager, you will work closely with the debt Capital Markets (Bond Issuance), Equity Capital Markets (IPOs), Mergers & Acquisition (Advisory), and Structured and Syndicated Financing (Loans) deal teams in the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region. You will be responsible for managing the coordination of the deal lifecycle process, from origination to execution and post-closing monitoring. You will play a critical role in ensuring transactions comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and legal obligations, including KYC requirements. Additionally, you will contribute to key business projects and initiatives as directed by senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with deal team members across DCM, EXM, M&A, and SETG to contribute to the transaction lifecycle management, including executing and closing bond issuances, IPOs, M&A transactions, and loan facilities
  • Lead and coordinate the KYC process, funding and closing procedures, legal documentation review, and ensure relevant internal approvals align with the client's policies and regulatory requirements
  • Manage the allocated transaction portfolio over its lifetime, from initial booking to termination/refinancing, including handling agent notifications and credit events
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects and initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiencies and adapting to the evolving banking regulatory landscape

About You

Requirements

  • Educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience
  • Experience in capital markets, M&A, or leveraged finance, with a strong understanding of bond and loan transactions, IPOs, KYC, Anti-Financial Crime (AFC), and broader banking regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
  • A reliable team player with strong problem-solving skills, risk awareness, and a proactive attitude
  • Proficiency in French, German, Italian, or other European languages is advantageous
