About The Role

About the role:

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Business Analyst to work for our client within the Insurance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Macclesfield.

Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with Life Underwriting experience who will work on the initiative that involves analysing the potential transition from a mixed manual/basic portal process for obtaining GP Reports (GPRs) to a fully outsourced managed service (iGPR Magic). The change involves outsourcing the end-to-end GPR lifecycle (requesting, chasing, redaction, payments) and exploring future API integration for structured data, impacting current operational and finance workflows.

You will have a strong track record in benefits validation analysis (operational savings, revenue uplift), As-Is/To-Be process mapping, requirements definition (portal/future API) and vendor liaising. You will also have extensive experience in Vendor pilot evaluations, facilitating workshops and engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse current business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for automation.
  • Conduct meetings with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements
  • Write and test automation scripts to ensure they function correctly
  • Deploy automated processes and monitor their performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during and after deployment
  • Work closely with IT, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of automated processes
  • Communicate progress and updates to stakeholders regularly
  • Provide training sessions and support to end-users on new automated processes
  • Create user manuals and documentation
  • Stay updated with the latest automation technologies and best practices
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance and optimise existing automated processes
  • Ensure that all automated processes comply with industry regulations and company standards
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks to maintain the integrity of automated workflows
  • Generate reports on the performance and impact of automated processes
  • Present findings and recommendations to management
