About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Business Process Analyst to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 5-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Barnsley.

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Business Process Analyst to support and optimise their HAM operations. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in business process analysis with hands-on experience in IT asset lifecycle management, helping to drive efficiency, compliance, and strategic improvements across the HAM function.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse and document current HAM processes, covering procurement, deployment, maintenance, and end-of-life/disposal stages
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend actionable process improvements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Procurement, and Finance teams to streamline asset management workflows
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of HAM tools and platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera)
  • Ensure HAM practices comply with internal policies, standards, and external regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs to track hardware asset performance and utilisation metrics

About You

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a Business Process Analyst, with a focus on Hardware Asset Management or IT Asset Management.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL framework and IT asset lifecycle best practices
  • Proficiency in process mapping and documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across departments
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities; able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with ServiceNow HAM Pro module or Flexera Asset Management tools
  • ITIL certification or equivalent process-oriented certifications
