The Role

Reporting to the UK Recruitment Manager, this placement will require the candidate to support the Returners Recruitment team. You will be responsible for assisting the recruitment processes and attracting high calibre candidates to join the FDM Returners Programme.

This multidimensional role will be divided into the following:

  • Recruitment – you will be involved in a variety of activities such as hosting attraction events, placement recruiting and facilitating Assessment Centres. In addition, you will play a key role in advertising our job roles on careers sites.
  • Events – you will be supporting and organising different events, including; charity events, corporate client events, returner’s team events, making sure that they run smoothly.

Due to the multifaceted aspect of this role, the ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, be able to work well under pressure and prioritise work to meet deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing highly efficient and responsive administrative support to the Returners Team
  • Prioritising specific tasks in line with the business requirements
  • Supporting and organising assessment days, including undertaking core administrative tasks
  • Being a source of knowledge for candidates and helping to create a positive candidate experience
  • Organising and attending various recruitment events for staff, clients and potential employees
  • Establishing, building and growing relationships with internal FDM staff through effective communication, consistency and highly professional service
  • Preparing Welcome Packs and ensuring all training files are complete and up-to-date

About You

Essential Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a sandwich placement course of relevant Business degree or similar and on track to achieve a 2:1 classification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional and outgoing approach and confidence when delivering presentations
  • Able to work individually and collaboratively within a team and the wider organisation, while building and maintaining relationships across all levels
  • Flexible and capable of managing multiple tasks in a professional manner
  • Able to work well under pressure, prioritise and manage tasks/time in order to meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated, showing ownership and initiative with strong attention to details

Desirable Criteria:

  • Good understanding of the IT industry and Returners market
  • Affinity for social media (e.g. Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Able to confidently develop innovative solutions to difficult tasks
