FDM is seeking a Senior Product Manager located in New York City to support a project in the Financial Services  sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 12 months  but may be extended.

This role will be hybrid with requirements to be in office days per week.

About The Project

The client is a global investment bank with a strong enterprise technology organization supporting mission-critical infrastructure and platforms across multiple business lines.

Within this organization, the Infrastructure and Platform Engineering teams manage a global data center and enterprise infrastructure environment spanning multiple regions and facilities.

The team is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead a strategic infrastructure cost optimization and modernization initiative across a large-scale global data center estate. This role is highly visible and focused on improving efficiency, reducing infrastructure costs, and optimizing global server and facility footprint while maintaining operational resilience and service reliability.

The role will directly support initiatives that impact large-scale infrastructure spend and enterprise-wide technology operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver a global infrastructure cost optimization and modernization program across multiple data centers and large-scale server environments, driving efficiency and cost reduction while maintaining service reliability.
  • Own the product vision and roadmap for enterprise infrastructure platforms, balancing cost optimization, capacity planning, resilience, and operational performance.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, infrastructure, operations, and risk stakeholders to:
    • Gather and refine infrastructure and platform requirements
    • Prioritize transformation and optimization initiatives
    • Translate strategic objectives into executable delivery plans
  • Drive data center consolidation, infrastructure rationalization, and vendor optimization strategies, ensuring compliance with internal procurement and governance policies.
  • Partner with procurement and third-party vendors to manage contracts, performance, and cost efficiency across infrastructure services.
  • Ensure adherence to internal risk frameworks, infrastructure standards, and regulatory requirements related to operational resilience and business continuity.
  • Track program delivery progress, infrastructure KPIs (cost, utilization, capacity, uptime), and provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate across global teams to execute infrastructure transformation initiatives in a complex, distributed enterprise environment.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Information Systems, Information Technology Management, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in technology product management, technical program management, or infrastructure-focused delivery roles, ideally within financial services or large enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience working with data center, infrastructure, or platform engineering teams.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure environments including servers, networks, hosting, and capacity management concepts.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills in matrixed organizations.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, roadmap planning, and large-scale program execution.
  • Experience with vendor management, procurement, infrastructure cost optimization, or IT transformation programs is highly desirable.
