About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an Application Support (Equity Derivatives) to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 12 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a Fully Office based role that will be based in London.

Our client is looking for smart, proactive individuals who can demonstrate strong communication skills and a practical, problem-solving mindset. This is a hands on application support role within the Equity Derivatives business, offering exposure to trading systems and critical institutional workflows.

Responsibilities:

Provide functional and technical support for applications used by the Equity Derivatives business
Monitor and maintain the health of critical systems, performing regular checks and proactive issue identification
Manage and respond to production incidents, including escalation, root cause analysis, and resolution
Handle change requests from development and infrastructure teams, including system and configuration updates
Configure and maintain monitoring tools, and respond to system alerts in a timely manner
Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation covering operational procedures and system configurations
Support Business Continuity Planning activities, including participation in drills and testing
Assist with IT security processes and audit requirements
Contribute to or lead projects relating to:
New system implementations
Application upgrades
Server deployments and environment improvements

About You

Strong Linux knowledge and command-line experience
Proficiency in Python and/or Bash scripting
Good working knowledge of SQL
Excellent problem-solving ability with a structured approach
Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, production support environment
Knowledge of equity derivatives
