About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Data Governance Analyst to work for our client within the insurance sector. This is initially a 3–6 month contract with strong potential for extension and will be a hybrid role based in London.

Our client, a leading insurer, is delivering a data transformation programme focused on improving data governance, quality, and control frameworks across the organisation. They are seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support the identification and remediation of data quality issues, while helping to establish robust governance practices and standards. This role will work closely with data engineering teams to ensure data is well-managed, trusted, and aligned to business needs. 

 Responsibilities: 

  • Support the implementation of data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices
  • Identify, investigate, and help resolve data quality defects across key datasets
  • Work closely with data engineering teams within Databricks environments
  • Define and maintain data quality rules, controls, and monitoring processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve data accuracy, consistency, and reliability

About You

  • Experience working in data governance, data engineering, or data quality roles
  • Proven experience managing and remediating data quality defects
  • Strong working knowledge of Databricks and SQL
  • Understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, and controls
  • Ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in data-related roles
