About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to join our Global System Integrator/Consultancy client, supporting a major public sector organisation within Tax Administration. This is an exciting opportunity to lead delivery across a large, business‑critical service portfolio at scale. You will play a key role in driving end‑to‑end delivery across this estate, ensuring high‑quality, timely outcomes across multiple services and workstreams. Acting as a central link between Delivery Leads, engineering teams, Service Delivery Managers, and senior stakeholders, you will oversee delivery in a fast‑paced, high‑profile environment supporting millions of users.

This platform is a critical national service underpinning tax processing and collection. You will operate within a complex, multi‑team landscape, collaborating closely with other Delivery Leads to ensure alignment, coordinated planning, and consistent delivery outcomes. This role requires balancing change delivery with live service stability, ensuring that ongoing enhancements, regulatory changes, and defect resolution are delivered safely without impacting service performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Owning and driving delivery across these services, ensuring outcomes meet business and client expectations
  • Collaborating closely with other Delivery Leads to align priorities and coordinate crossteam delivery
  • Working in partnership with Service Delivery Managers to ensure alignment between change and live service operations
  • Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across both client and consultancy teams
  • Coordinating delivery across multiple workstreams, including regulatory change, service enhancements, and defect resolution
  • Proactively managing risks, issues, and dependencies within a complex, legacy environment
  • Providing clear, consistent reporting on delivery progress, milestones, and outcomes
  • Supporting planning and prioritisation activities to optimise capacity across competing demands
  • Promoting a collaborative, accountable team culture and driving continuous improvement in delivery practices

About You

  • Proven experience in a Delivery Manager / Delivery Lead / Project Delivery role within large, complex programmes
  • Demonstrable experience coordinating multiple teams or workstreams in a highvolume environment
  • Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) and delivery methodologies (Agile, hybrid, or waterfall)
  • Experience delivering within large-scale public sector or enterprise environments
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, track progress, and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leadership
  • Experience managing delivery in live service environments, balancing change with service stability
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to align technical and nontechnical audiences

Desirable:

  • Experience working on legacy or highavailability systems
  • Familiarity with multisupplier or complex delivery environments
  • Experience within tax, finance, or government services
  • Knowledge of delivery governance, assurance frameworks, and programme reporting
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe, or similar)
