About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Business Analyst to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a contract opportunity with strong potential for extension and will be a hybrid role based in Glasgow or the North West of England.

Our client is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a major business transformation programme, helping define and implement retention and archive processes associated with the transition of critical business information and records. The successful candidate will play a key role from project mobilisation through build and delivery, working closely with stakeholders to define requirements, establish processes, and support successful implementation.

Responsibilities

Support the definition and development of retention and archive processes and associated business requirements.
Conduct high-level and detailed analysis of business processes, use cases, workflows, and information management requirements.
Elicit, document, and validate business requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define future-state processes and operational approaches.
Produce detailed process flows, requirements documentation, and supporting analysis artefacts for delivery teams.
Support planning, estimation, and delivery activities by providing clear and actionable requirements.
Manage stakeholder workshops, gather feedback, and obtain approvals on key deliverables.
Provide ongoing support throughout build, testing, implementation, and post-delivery activities.
Work independently to manage analysis workstreams, priorities, and deliverables.

About You

Proven experience as a Business Analyst within large-scale business or technology transformation programmes.
Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, business analysis, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience producing high-quality business requirements, user journeys, process flows, and functional documentation.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment.
Experience supporting projects through the full lifecycle from discovery and analysis to implementation.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery environments.
Knowledge of data migration projects and information lifecycle management is highly desirable.
Understanding of data governance, records management, retention policies, and regulatory requirements within Financial Services or Insurance environments would be advantageous.
Minimum 10 years' experience in Business Analysis roles supporting complex change initiatives.
