About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Power Platform Developer to work for our client within the Public Sector sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role based in either London,Bristol, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham or Newcastle.

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Power Platform Developer to provide technical leadership and hands-on development across a large-scale Microsoft Power Platform estate. You will be responsible for the design, development, governance and ongoing enhancement of critical business applications built on Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365. This role offers the opportunity to lead platform strategy, drive engineering best practices and work across the full application lifecycle, from architecture and development through to deployment, governance and support.

Responsibilities:

  •  Design, develop and maintain enterprise solutions across Microsoft Power Platform, Dataverse and Dynamics 365, including Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate and integrations.
  • Develop and support C# plugins, Custom APIs, workflow activities, JavaScript/TypeScript web resources and reusable .NET components
  • Own and enhance Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes, CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps release practices to ensure reliable deployments.
  • Establish and enforce platform governance, security standards, solution architecture best practices and operational controls across the Power Platform estate
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to developers and stakeholders while driving continuous improvement across development standards and platform capabilities

About You

  • Extensive commercial experience delivering solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Dataverse and Dynamics 365
  • Advanced expertise in Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse configuration and security, managed solutions and solution architecture.
  • Strong development experience with C#/.NET, Dataverse plugins, Custom APIs, custom workflow activities and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Proven experience implementing and managing Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, release management and Power Platform ALM practices.
  • Strong understanding of authentication, APIs, OAuth, service principals, integration security, governance and compliance requirements.
  • Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring developers and communicating architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Desirable certifications in Microsoft Power Platform and/or Dynamics 365, with experience of Centre of Excellence implementation, Power Pages and Power Platform Build Tools
