About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a PMO Analyst to work for our client within the Financial Services / Insurance sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension and will be a hybrid role based in Cheshire 

Our client is seeking a PMO Analyst to support high-value and complex portfolios, programmes, and projects. The successful candidate will work closely with PMO Leads and Programme Managers to provide governance, reporting, resource planning, risk management, and portfolio oversight. You will play a key role in ensuring stakeholders have the visibility and insights required for informed decision-making while maintaining adherence to established project delivery methodologies and controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Support PMO Leads and Programme Managers across portfolios, programmes, and projects, ensuring governance standards are maintained.
  • Produce dashboards, governance packs, reports, and portfolio-level insights for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Maintain programme and project documentation, including schedules, resource plans, budgets, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and decisions (RAID).
  • Facilitate governance meetings and support reporting to senior leadership and programme boards.
  • Monitor project budgets, invoice management, cost controls, and benefits tracking while supporting business case activities. 

About You

  • Experience supporting programme and project lifecycles within a PMO, Project Management, or Change environment.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, resource planning, budgeting, cost control, and risk management frameworks.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work with senior leaders.
  • Self-motivated and highly organised, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Additional Requirements: 
 
  • Experience maintaining project artefacts and supporting audit, risk, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with RAID management, governance reporting, and portfolio oversight.
  • Understanding of change delivery methodologies and project controls.
  • Previous experience within financial services, insurance, or other regulated environments would be advantageous.
