About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Cloudflare Developer to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 4 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a remote role that will be based in Leeds or London 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Cloudflare Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cloudflare's developer platform and edge services, supporting the design, development, deployment, and optimisation of secure, scalable, and high-performance web applications and infrastructure.

You will work closely with software engineers, DevOps teams, security specialists, and stakeholders to leverage Cloudflare technologies, including Workers, Pages, WAF, CDN, Zero Trust, DNS, and Load Balancing solutions.
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Design, build, and maintain applications using Cloudflare Workers and related edge computing technologies.
  • Develop and deploy serverless solutions on the Cloudflare platform
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance and security.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for Cloudflare-based deployments.
  • Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Support cloud migration and modernisation projects.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and architectural diagrams.
  • Ensure security best practices are followed across all Cloudflare implementations.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

  • 3-5 years of software development or cloud engineering experience.
  • Commercial experience with Cloudflare services and architecture
  • Experience with Git version control and modern development practices.
  • Experience implementing security controls and web application protection.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
