About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Junior Finance Change Analyst to work for our client within the financial services sector. This is initially a six-month contract with good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Cheshire.

Our client is looking for an organised and proactive individual to support change activity within its Financial Close area. Working with project teams and finance stakeholders, the successful candidate will help coordinate requirements, maintain project documentation and support the delivery of small change initiatives. This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build experience across finance, projects and business change.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the coordination of small projects and change activities within the Financial Close area
  • Act as a point of contact for project updates, actions and queries, escalating where required.
  • Work with finance stakeholders to capture and document straightforward business requirements.
  • Maintain project documents, action logs, decisions, risks and approvals to support a clear audit trail.
  • Assist with impact assessments, status reporting, meeting preparation and follow-up actions.
  • Build positive working relationships with Finance, Technology and Change teams.

About You

  • Around 1-2 years of experience in a project support, change, business analysis, PMO or finance-related role.
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage actions, documentation and competing priorities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working with different stakeholders.
  • Able to understand business needs and turn discussions into clear notes, requirements and actions.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • An interest in financial services, finance processes or business change. Direct Financial Close experience is helpful but not essential.
