About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Dynamics 365 Solution Architect to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a contract to March 2027, with very good prospects to extend, and will be a remote role, with the successful candidate assigned to their local FDM office.

Our client is seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 specialist to support its internal team in delivering a new Inspection Case Management system built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service. You will provide technical leadership and governance across the end-to-end solution design, ensuring Dynamics 365 best practice is embedded from the outset. You will shape the platform configuration and underlying data model, provide independent design assurance and help accelerate technical delivery while transferring knowledge to the existing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end technical design and governance of the new Inspection Case Management solution.
  • Embed Dynamics 365 best practice across the solution architecture, configuration and delivery approach.
  • Shape the Dynamics 365 Customer Service configuration and underlying Dataverse data model to meet requirements effectively.
  • Produce and review low-level and technical designs, challenging design decisions and providing independent assurance to relevant governance forums.
  • Collaborate with the internal Dynamics 365 team, Data Architect and Solution Architect to accelerate delivery, transfer knowledge and ensure technical documentation is complete.

About You

  • Proven experience as a specialist Dynamics 365 Solution Architect or Technical Architect.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing and configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service, ideally for case management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 and the Dataverse data model, including entity design and relationships.
  • Experience producing and reviewing high-level and low-level technical designs, including providing design assurance and presenting to architecture or governance boards.
  • Eligible to work in the UK and willing to complete the required pre-engagement checks and SC clearance process; existing SC clearance is not required to start.
