About The Role

We are a dynamic, team environment that encourages and rewards hands-on involvement. We are looking for a talented individual to join our Operations team in the role of Compliance Assistant, based in our FDM Leeds, London or Glasgow office, to support the development and ongoing maintenance of our quality management system, business continuity programme, and to support the development of our supplier management and procurement process.  This role offers the opportunity to grow and develop significantly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Quality Manager with development and maintenance of compliance-related policies
  • Prepare and conduct management review reports (for ISO 9001:2015)
  • Complete ongoing activities related to quality compliance including execution of internal and external audits.
  • Track and review non-conformities and ensure adequate corrective actions are effected and verified with stakeholders.
  • Assist IT Compliance in the formulation of robust business continuity procedures
  • Support Business Continuity planning, Governance and execution
  • Perform checks / walk-throughs on procedures to identify areas of non-compliance
  • Advise the business on resolution of compliance-related incidents and concerns
  • Assist in planning and managing procurement reporting activities by maintaining an up to date database of FDM’s suppliers
  • Providing training and support to the wider FDM business on the application of the group’s procurement policies and documentation etc

 


About You

  • Familiar with ISO9001:2015 and have experience working in quality, compliance or operational excellence environment
  • A keen awareness of business continuity best practice and/or the principles in ISO22301
  • Have experience of supply chain management and procurement processes
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop policy and procedures[JT1]  
  • Have proven written and verbal skills in a commercial environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to take the initiative on assigned tasks
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise and work under some pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence to interact with all levels of seniority
  • Positive attitude with a passion to learn
