About The Role

The Assessment and Process Lead is responsible for running key aspects of the assessment and selection process for applicants to the FDM Graduate Programme. They will implement an effective, efficient, fair and consistent workflow. The role predominantly focuses on the UK Graduate Programme, but will also provide support to the Mainland Europe assessment activities. In both regions, it is important that our systems, associated processes and documentations support a transparent and positive candidate experience.

The successful post holder will manage and support a team of Assessment Coordinators, comprised of placement students and permanent staff. The aim is ensuring FDM recruitment and assessment processes are bringing through a high quality of candidate to support our talent. The selection process is thorough, assessing thousands of applications each year. This is applicants’ first experience of FDM and therefore, we are committed to this being a positive one. This role is key in ensuring this.

  • Operational management - manage the team delivering end to end selection processes for the UK
  • Planning and delivery – ensure a smooth assessment and selection workflow, regularly reviewing effectiveness; make and implement recommendations for improvement.
  • Work closely with Graduate Recruitment Management team to ensure activities feed into team KPIs
  • Internal relationships – work with colleagues internally, such as People team, IT and others to ensure that recruitment and assessment processes is in line with company policies and legal requirements
  • Manage and co-ordinate the interviewer rota and maintain accurate records to support the annual KPMG audit.
  • Support right to work checks and starter vetting
  • Be a proficient user of our Applicant Tracking System, Eploy
  • Documentation and candidate records: Ensuring all candidate records are kept accurately and in accordance with Data Protection Regulations and FDM’s IT Security policies

About You

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Demonstrable coordination skills and confidence in managing a team
  • Effective verbal and written professional communication; professional and outgoing approach, ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders, confidence when delivering presentations
  • Demonstrate initiative and innovation and to complete projects effectively and on time.
  • Build and maintain relationships across all levels of the organisation, commitment to equal opportunities
  • Motivated to set own goals in addition to achieving targets and deadlines
  • Open and positive attitude to changing working environments

  • Understanding of the IT graduate sector and the internal and external influences
  • Proficient use of Excel and MS Office
