This role would be responsible for implementing partnerships and relationship building with target universities and external professional bodies in the North region. In addition, the successful post holder would be responsible for ensuring high quality candidates join our training pathways, with a view to being placed with one of our clients based in Scotland and launching a successful long-term career with FDM.

This role is instrumental in building a yearly graduate pipeline with candidates who can work with clients across the North of England as that is FDM’s busiest recruitment periods following the end of the Academic year. In addition, the post holder will also be responsible for ensuring an appropriate pipeline is maintained year-round with candidates, able to work with clients across Scotland.

  • Line Management – manage the University Partnerships Recruitment team, based in Leeds and shared line management of the University Partnerships and Recruitment consultants, based in Glasgow
  •  External Stakeholder management - establish and develop university partnerships across the North of England and continually assess the number of preferred FDM suppliers and hires from each university
  •  Internal Stakeholder Management – work closely with colleagues in Sales, Marketing, People, the Academy and the UK wider Recruitment and UP management team to ensure North-based university activities feed into the wider business requirements and University Partnerships Strategy
  • Target setting - identify and review individual and team targets to ensure activity is in line with business need
  • Team Delivery – deliver individual work to target reporting activity weekly, set appropriate recruitment targets for the team
  • Events – work closely with the University Partnerships Management team, lead by the UK Head of University Partnerships to set an effective schedule of university recruitment events, such as job fairs, curriculum workshops, and networking sessions; senior stakeholder meetings and engagements
  • KPIs – ensure that the right and correct number of candidates, based in Scotland join the FDM Graduate Programme

Desirable but not essential:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Experience of working within the IT graduate recruitment sector
