Our Returners Programme is specifically designed to support professionals returning to work after a career break. We are looking for ambitious returners to work as project planners/controllers for our client.

Project Planners / Controllers are a critical part of the Project Management team. Day-to-day, you will work closely with one or more Project Managers and Project Technical Leaders, but you will also be part of a much larger project community which will support your professional development with coaching/mentoring, targeted training, and professional certification as appropriate.

We are looking for talented individuals who can bring strength and capability to Project Management teams, with a professional background in Project Planning / Controls. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining robust project baselines, deploying best practice controls, using data from the project to proactively identify trends/variances/risks, and preparing accurate and succinct reports for management attention.

The projects are often highly complex, typically including large components of engineering design, in-house manufacture, and the management of complex supply chains. Our Project Planners / Controllers ensure that this complexity is managed through structure and a regular drumbeat that keeps all the different parts of the team in alignment.

About You

Our requirements:

Proven experience working as a Project Planner / Project Controller, ideally within the defence (or similar sector).
Experience using Primavera P6 to create and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), conduct Change Control, Forecasting, Deploying KPIs, Variance Analysis, Risk & Opportunity Management, Project Governance and Project Reporting.
You will bring structure to complex situations, have a keen eye for detail and the ability evaluate, interpret distil and communicate complex information.

Technical/key attributes:

Looking to return to work after a break in your career of 1+ year
Able to work full time
At least 5 years’ experience as a project planner/controller
Experience in Primavera P6 and IMS
Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as in a team environment
Security cleared
