About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy delivering client and industry driven solutions through our 5 core specialist Practices; Software Engineering, Data & Analytics, IT Operations, Change & Transformation, and Risk, Regulation & Compliance.

FDM is seeking Data Engineers in New York to work for our client within the financial services sector. This role is initially for 12 months and will be onsite and you would be expected to be in the NYC office 3 days per week.

Role Overview: Data Engineers will be responsible for handling data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. They will develop and maintain data pipelines and automation scripts, ensuring data quality and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support data needs.
  • Optimize data workflows and processes.

About You

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in data engineering roles, focusing on ETL processes and data pipeline development
  • Python programming
  • Exposure with Hadoop, Spark

Example Deliverables:

  • ETL scripts and workflows.
  • Automated data pipelines.
  • Data quality reports.
  • API integrations.
