Senior Data Architect - Leeds

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Data Architect to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially an 8-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Leeds

As a Senior Data Architect you will design and develop the data architecture for PGA future vision and new journeys. They will model and present integration strategy between multiple systems and sources. This must be flexible as PGA transitions away from the current method of operations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in working with non-technical colleagues and expertise across the entire PGA team.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the overall data architecture, including data models, databases, and data warehouses
• Create strategies for integrating data from various sources, ensuring consistency and reliability
• Establish data governance policies, ensure data quality, and implement security measures to protect data
• Evaluate and select appropriate tools and technologies for data management and processing
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and document the architecture and data flows

Requirements

• Expert in AWS services and architecture
• Extensive experience of cloud computing, and best practice and emerging technologies
• Experienced with multiple eco-system and databases
• Knowledge of Python, Terraform & SQL
• Ability to analyse, interpret and communicate complex big data models and metadata systems
• Bring Networking & security best practice
• Must be eligible for SC Clearance
