About The Role

The Senior ICT Business Analyst will need to demonstrate competent IT literacy and a good understanding of financial and banking service offerings products as this role is within the institutional banking sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying business needs, analysing ICT systems, and driving digital transformation initiatives. You will collaborate with stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that align with regulatory frameworks, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience. The role is within a small team so the role will be very hands-on and the successful candidate will have a lot of learning opportunities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and gather, document, and validate business requirements.
  • Analyse existing business processes and ICT systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for IT teams, ensuring technical solutions align with business needs.
  • Evaluate system integration, data flows, and digital platforms within the banking environment.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers during the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop user stories, process maps, and use case scenarios for banking applications, including customer portals, risk management tools, and compliance systems.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that deliverables meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Ensure ICT solutions comply with financial regulations, data privacy laws, and internal risk controls.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and training sessions for new system rollouts.
  • Prepare detailed documentation, including business cases, solution designs, and operational manuals.

 

Key Skills & Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of business analysis techniques and tools (e.g., BPMN, UML, JAD).

• Strong understanding of Liquidity, Transfer Pricing or Interest Rate Risk projects preferred

• Proficient in ICT systems used in financial services (e.g., core banking systems, CRM, risk platforms).

• Experience with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.

• Advanced Data Analysis skills and Intermediate SQL Server skills

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

 

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance, or related field.

  • 6+ years of experience as an ICT Business Analyst, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, IIBA) or Agile (e.g., Scrum Master) is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience aligning ICT solutions with business strategies in complex environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, approachable and good at forming relationships with people of all levels within the business;
  • Ability to prioritise own workload within a busy environment and meet deadlines;
  • Determination to build a successful career in IT and business;
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments; and strong analytics, planning and facilitation skills

We require our consultants to attend the office for client assignments when required. Currently, most client assignments have hybrid working arrangement with between 3-5 days a week in the office with remainder from home, depending on the client.
