About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an Integration Engineer to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London.

Our client is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer who, ideally, has worked in a fintech environment and will join a team who are responsible for delivering scalable and reliable data routing solutions across all regions.  You will need to support building not only a fast but also a reliable and stable system for catching ad-hoc data requirement on daily basis. Furthermore, the client not only provides coverage for all the data requirements in each region, but also contributes to a series of global strategic data routing solutions. The primary focus of the team is on delivery of outstanding solutions to their internal reporting/data clients. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to implement and support trade routing integrations across various asset classes including cash, derivatives, FX, and OTC products
  • Build and maintain reliable, high-performance systems capable of handling real-time data and ad-hoc reporting requirements
  • Contribute to global strategic data routing solutions, driving automation and modernization initiatives
  • Liaise with development teams, application owners, and business stakeholders to define, implement, and support data flow and routing logic
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis across complex systems in high-pressure trading environments
  • Support deployment, monitoring, and validation of production systems in an Agile/DevOps workflow
  • Gain a deep understanding of the firm’s business processes and trading flows to better anticipate and fulfil integration needs

About You

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Integrator or in DevOps
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written), with the ability to interface across technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong experience in UNIX/Linux systems administration and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell and Perl
  • Good working knowledge of Python
  • Familiarity with XML and structured data handling
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments
  • Understanding of large-scale distributed systems and how to support them in production
  • Exposure to programming languages such as C++ and/or Java
