About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a PMO Lead to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London.

Our client is seeking a highly capable and delivery-focused PMO/PSO Lead to support the execution of a critical Business IT Security portfolio. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and brings deep, hands-on experience in PMO/PSO functions. You’ll be embedded within the portfolio team, working closely with programme and project leads to drive delivery through meticulous milestone tracking, RAID management, and governance coordination. This is not a management or project leadership role—it’s a delivery execution position for someone who is proactive, organised, and confident operating at the heart of complex technology programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on PMO support across the Business IT Security portfolio, ensuring consistent application of governance and delivery standards.
  • Maintain and track detailed project and programme milestones, ensuring timely updates and early identification of risks or delays.
  • Own and manage RAID logs, ensuring risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies are accurately captured, monitored, and escalated.
  • Prepare and maintain portfolio-level reporting, dashboards, and delivery metrics for senior stakeholders.
  • Support governance forums, including scheduling, agenda preparation, minute-taking, and action tracking.
  • Work closely with Project and Programme Managers to ensure alignment across plans, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure documentation, reporting, and controls are audit-ready and aligned with internal standards.

About You

  • 7+ years of experience in a PMO or PSO role, supporting complex technology portfolios.
  • Strong knowledge of milestone tracking, RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management, and portfolio governance.
  • Experience with IT Security or cybersecurity-related programmes is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work confidently in a regulated, fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled at managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
