About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a IT Transformation Project Manager to work for our client within the retail sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London.

Our client is seeking dynamic and experienced IT Transformation Project Manager to lead a high-profile programme within a prestigious and historically significant luxury organisation. This role is focused on delivering impactful technology and process transformation projects, with a strong emphasis on aligning outcomes with strategic business objectives and enhancing service delivery across the organisation.

You will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects that implement new digital tools, enhance operational support functions, and introduce services such as Smart Building technology and AV Production capabilities. The role requires a balance of technical understanding, structured project management, and effective change leadership.

This position acts as a vital link between IT and business operations, helping to ensure that both human and digital transformation initiatives are seamlessly integrated to support long-term organisational success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans, define key milestones, allocate resources, and manage delivery to ensure outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and to a high standard
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across departments and senior leadership to ensure alignment and support throughout the transformation lifecycle
  • Drive organisational change by facilitating the smooth adoption of new systems and processes. Collaborate with internal teams to develop training strategies that promote employee engagement and capability
  • Proactively identify risks, assess potential impacts, and implement effective mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum
  • Maintain a sound understanding of IT systems, platforms, and emerging technologies to contribute to service design and implementation strategies
  • Use data and analytics to inform planning, monitor trends, and identify opportunities for innovation in service delivery
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, ensuring clarity of roles, accountability, and a collaborative approach to delivery

About You

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in experience managing complex IT transformation projects using recognised methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and embed organisational change, with a focus on people, processes, and culture
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and emerging technologies, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders across multiple departments, building consensus, and managing expectations
  • Ability to analyse complex issues, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear reports, deliver presentations, and facilitate discussions
  • Understanding of facilities management and service delivery operations, including IT support and AV services
  • Experience working in environments that require coordination across IT, facilities, and business operations
