About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Microsoft Purview Specialist to join our client within the government sector. This role will focus on both the governance and implementation of Microsoft Purview solutions to ensure effective data management, compliance, and security across our client's organisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, data management, and hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview. This is initially a three month contract with the potential to extend and will be a fully remote role. 
 

Key Responsibilities:

 Governance-
 
  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks and policies in alignment with organisational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Provide training and support to staff on data governance best practices.

 Implementation-

  • Lead the implementation of Microsoft Purview solutions across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate Purview with existing systems and processes.
  • Configure and customize Purview to meet the specific needs of the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for Purview configurations and processes.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Purview-related issues.

About You

  • Around 10 years experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data governance and data management.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview or similar data governance tools.
  • Strong understanding of data protection regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.
