About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Data and Process Optimisation Subject Matter Expert to work for our client within the financial services sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Edinburgh.

Our client is seeking for a driven, pro-active individual to join as a Data and Process Optimisation Subject Matter Expert who is passionate about simplifying and automating our processes and controls. The successful candidate will work within a high-performance team and be responsible for designing solutions to enhance the processing of trade settlements and delivering increased scalability and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of markets product life cycles and be comfortable designing innovative data led solutions that maximise automation. You will also have a good understanding of the process required to develop, and deploy solutions into a business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with colleagues to understand the core components of complex processes
  • Deliver innovative and simple solutions maximising process via automation, whilst minimising operational risk
  • Understand data flows within end-to-end processes, through the transformation, validation and processing of data, delivering highly automated, low risk processes
  • Design and build the optimal solutions for subsequent automation within Xceptor (a data and process automation tool)
  • Support with the processing of all trading activity in a seamless, efficient, and controlled manner to enhance customer experience

About You

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Data and Process Optimisation roles or similar
  • Good knowledge of product life cycles with the ability to understand and map out processes and data flows
  • An understanding of data management/processing principles and how to apply these to business processes to optimise straight through processing
  • Experience of applying ‘Control by design’ to support the delivery of robust and optimal controls within a process to minimise operational risk
  • Ability to document complex business requirements and create innovative solutions to maximise process automation
  • An exceptional understanding of Xceptor with experience in the change process from design to deployment within a post trade environment
  • Excellent track record for delivery to timescales and effective management of risks and issues
  • Strong transformation background and track record of delivering process change/optimisation to a high standard
  • Strong problem-solving skills with well-developed interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Experience working with process operators to identify challenges and requirements and develop effective solutions that deliver measurable improvements.
