About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst (BA) to join our Securities Finance and Collateral Management team. This client-facing role supports a mature, revenue-critical client base made up of custodial banks, broker-dealers, and other financial institutions. You will work closely with product managers, developers, QA analysts, and front-office users to deliver high-impact enhancements across a complex, multi-system platform.

The ideal candidate brings intellectual curiosity, strong communication skills, and a willingness to rapidly learn both our technology stack and the repo/securities lending domain. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role in a fast-moving environment with significant opportunity for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement & Requirements Analysis
    • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with front-office users, business stakeholders, and technology partners.
    • Translate client needs into clear, structured BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
    • Identify core business problems, user pain points, constraints, and success metrics.
    • Manage communication and expectations with clients who operate in a high-urgency environment.
  • System & Domain Mastery
    • Develop deep expertise in the Securities Finance/Repo platform and its related modules.
    • Understand client-specific workflows, system dependencies, static data needs, and reporting processes.
    • Learn and apply domain terminology quickly to ensure effective collaboration and credibility with clients and internal teams.
  • Cross-Functional Delivery Ownership
    • Partner with development to ensure requirements are understood and accurately implemented.
    • Collaborate with QA to validate test cases and review results.
    • Conduct hands-on functional testing when needed.
    • Support clients through UAT, including environment setup, data preparation, and issue triage.
    • Own functionality through go-live and into stabilization, ensuring end-to-end delivery success.
  • Issue Triage & Prioritization
    • Evaluate competing client requests and determine urgency, impact, and sequencing.
    • Manage backlog priorities and ensure timely updates to stakeholders.
    • Serve as an early escalation point for client-raised issues.

Qualifications Required

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or related hybrid role in financial services or technology.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Familiarity with SDLC processes, Agile methodologies, and tools such as JIRA.
  • Ability to break down complex business problems into structured, actionable requirements.
  • Comfort learning and using technical terminology (e.g., SQL, scripts, DDLs)

Preferred
