About The Role

Join FDM’s Hong Kong team as a Technical Coach.

As a Technical Coach, you’ll mentor and train the next generation of tech talent, bridging the gap between theory and practice and giving consultants the skills and confidence to succeed.

Your impact will go beyond the classroom: assessing candidates, supporting Sales with client needs, shaping training, and even taking on client assignments yourself. With clear career progression, this is a chance to grow your expertise while shaping the future of tech.

Duties and responsibilities

- Lead and manage Skills Lab sessions, ensuring an engaging learning environment 
- Provide personalised feedback and coaching to consultants 
- Evaluate performance through observation, interviews, and assessments 
- Design and deliver practical projects aligned to learning objectives 
- Support recruitment by assessing candidates’ aptitude and adaptability 
- Conduct mock interviews and CV coaching 
- Act as a subject matter expert for Sales and client calls 
- Mentor consultants in project pods, offering technical guidance when needed

About You

What we look for

- Bachelor degree in IT or related field 
- 1–5 years of industry experience 
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills 
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and create training content 
- Experience with SDLC and Agile environments 
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities 
- Comfortable working across both technical and non-technical teams 

Preferred qualifications (2 or more of the following, depending on Practice area): 
- Java, JavaScript frameworks, .NET, PHP 
- React, Angular, NodeJS 
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) 
- DevOps tools (Jenkins, Docker, Git, etc.) 
- Mobile development (iOS, Android, Swift, Objective-C) 
- Data analytics (Power BI, Tableau, SQL) 
- ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence 
- Cybersecurity, penetration testing 
- RDBMS, system administration, mainframe systems 
- Automation tools (PEGA, UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere)
