About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Product Support Engineer to work for our client within the Financial services sector. This is initially a 6 months contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Luxembourg.


Our client is seeking an Product Support Engineer to join a global support team. This is a hands-on position providing dedicated onsite IT support to the Luxembourg office while collaborating closely with global IT teams across Europe and beyond. The role will serve as the primary IT contact for local users, delivering 1st and 2nd line support across a broad range of business-critical systems and technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and customer-focused IT professional who enjoys working independently while contributing to a global technology environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to internal users across desktop, laptop, mobile, and business applications.
  • Act as the primary IT contact for the Luxembourg office, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
  • Support and administer Microsoft technologies including Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Manage PC and Mac hardware deployment, imaging, software installations, and device lifecycle management using Microsoft Intune.
  • Work with third-party vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and maintain service quality.
  • Support remote access technologies including VPN, VDI, and GlobalProtect VPN, ensuring secure connectivity for end users.
  • Assist with video conferencing solutions, meeting room technology, and collaboration tools, including Zoom.
  • Collaborate with global IT teams on infrastructure projects, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

  • Proven experience in an IT Production Support, Service Desk, or End User Support role, with strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a global team.
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Hybrid Azure Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Intune.
  • Experience supporting PC/Mac hardware, mobile devices, MDM solutions, software deployment, and end-user computing environments.
  • Knowledge of VPN, VDI, basic networking concepts, video conferencing technologies (ideally Zoom), and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.
  • Fluent in English and French, with experience working in an ITIL environment and an interest in cloud technologies including Azure, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in IT Production Support, Service Desk, End User Computing Support, or a similar technical support role.
