The Skills Lab is where consultants bridge the gap between theory and real-world practice. Coaches play a pivotal role in developing consultants’ confidence, competence, and readiness for client projects by guiding them through immersive, hands-on learning experiences.
 
 FDM is seeking an experienced Agile Coach and Business Analysis Specialist to join our internal Skills Lab team in Toronto. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between theory and real-world practice for our consultants, developing their confidence and technical competence through immersive, hands-on learning.

As a Coach, you are mentoring the next generation of Change & Transformation consultants to succeed at world-leading client sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Agile Mentorship: Coach consultants on Agile fundamentals, Scrum ceremonies, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • BA Mastery: Demonstrate and mentor on process modeling, requirements documentation, and stakeholder management.
  • Data Coaching: Mentor consultants on data-centric topics to support technical business requirements.
  • Experiential Learning: Facilitate simulated workshops, lead scenario-based assessments, and provide real-time, personalized feedback.
  • Bridge to Client: Occasionally deploy to client sites to support consultants during their transition, gaining insights to further refine our training curriculum.
  • Career Development: Conduct mock interviews and guide consultants in building professional, industry-standard resumes.

About You

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: Postgraduate degree (or higher) in an IT-related or Business field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, PO, Scrum Master, or Agile Coach.
  • Technical Depth: A solid understanding of the SDLC and practical experience with both Traditional PM and Agile methodologies.
  • Coaching Mindset: Demonstrated experience mentoring junior talent or leading change initiatives within an organization.
  • Communication: Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to functional stakeholders.

Preferred Technical Skills

  • Frameworks: BABOK, BPMN, Agile BA techniques.
  • Tools: Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow.
  • Data/UI: Basic knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, SQL, ETL, Data Lakes.
