About The Role

This position requires the successful candidate to work on a W2 directly with FDM. We cannot accept C2C, 1099 or employment sponsorship (e.g. H1-B) for this position.

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy delivering client and industry driven solutions through our 5 core specialist Practices; Software Engineering, Data & Analytics, IT Operations, Change & Transformation, and Risk, Regulation & Compliance.

FDM is seeking a Senior Business Analyst located in St. Petersburg, FL  to support a project in the Financial Services sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 6 months  but may be extended.

This role will be hybrid with requirements to be in office 3 days per week.

About You

Role Overview

FDM is seeking Senior Business Analysts with proven experience supporting large-scale data migration programs within regulated environments. The primary focus of the role is requirements definition and documentation, supported by strong data-analysis capability to ensure accuracy, quality, and traceability throughout the migration lifecycle.

These are hands-on delivery roles embedded within client-led teams and aligned closely with data migration, ETL, and testing activities.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead requirements elicitation and documentation for data migration initiatives

· Analyze source and target datasets to support mapping, validation, and reconciliation activities

· Produce high-quality functional and data-focused documentation

· Work closely with developers, testers, and data teams to clarify requirements

· Support defect triage through data analysis and root-cause investigation

· Participate in migration rehearsals, mock runs, and cutover preparation

· Ensure alignment with regulatory, operational, and data-governance standards

Required Skills and Experience

· Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst on data migration programs

· Strong data-analysis capability with complex datasets

· SQL experience for data interrogation and validation

· Excellent requirements documentation skills

· Experience in regulated financial-services environments

· Strong stakeholder communication skills

Desirable (Nice to Have)

· Exposure to ETL tools such as Centreprise

· Interest in automation or AI-assisted tooling for efficiency improvements
