About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Data Business Analyst to support engagements within the Asset Management sector. This is an initial 12 month fixed term contract role with strong potential for extension and will be a hybrid position based in London.

This role sits within a data-focused delivery environment, working on strategic initiatives across client-facing functions. You will partner closely with business, data, and technology teams to deliver high-quality data solutions, improve reporting capabilities, and support transformation programmes within asset management.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Drive business and data analysis across complex change initiatives, working closely with product owners and stakeholders
  • Gather, document, and translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and validate data requirements, ensuring accurate and meaningful reporting outputs
  • Contribute to solution design across data programmes, considering people, process, technology, risk, and controls
  • Work within agile delivery teams, engaging with developers, testers, architects, and business users 

About You

  • Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst within Asset Management (essential)
  •  Strong understanding of asset management processes and operating models
  • Experience in data modelling, process design, and delivering data-driven solutions
  • Strong technical exposure including SQL, cloud data platforms, and relational/non-relational databases
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
  • Experience working in agile environments with a track record of delivery within scrum teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in business/data analysis
