About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Lead Business Analyst to work for our client within the Insurance sector. This is initially a contract role with strong potential to extend and will be a hybrid position based in Cheshire.

Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to take ownership of analysis across large and complex change initiatives, leading analysis activity, shaping solutions, and driving high-quality outcomes across the programme.

Responsibilities: 
 
  • Takes responsibility for analysis across large and/or complex change initiatives
  • Works with stakeholders and delivery teams to investigate operational issues, problems, and opportunities
  • Identifies appropriate, effective, and efficient solutions across information, technology, process, and organisational change
  • Defines scope, priorities, and benefits in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Selects and applies appropriate techniques to elicit and manage requirements
  • Considers how organisation structures, roles, and teams must evolve to support future business processes
  • Analyses processes and data to identify and evaluate options
  • Conducts advanced modelling activities
  • Documents business requirements, ensuring traceability and adherence to standards using prescribed tools and methods
  • Defines and supports User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Provides guidance and direction to less experienced analysts
  • Influences the direction of the analysis practice by sharing ideas, experience, and driving continuous improvement
  • Acts as a role model in demonstrating strong collaboration, professionalism, and leadership

Where appropriate:

  • Promotes knowledge transfer and awareness of the technical specialism
  • Takes responsibility for tools and quality standards relating to the analysis discipline  

About You

  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced experience across a range of business analysis techniques, tools, and standards
  • Strong understanding of business structure and key business principles
  • Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Experience managing workload and supporting or coordinating other analysts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expert knowledge and depth within your analysis specialism (where applicable)
