We are seeking a Business Analyst who will play a critical role in translating business needs into clearly defined, actionable requirements that drive successful technical implementation. This role sits at the intersection of business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring that solutions are aligned with strategic objectives, compliant with data standards, and measurable in terms of business value.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyse, and document detailed business requirements through stakeholder engagement, workshops, and interviews
  • Develop comprehensive use cases, user stories, and functional specifications to support solution delivery

  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Analyse data types across systems and processes to define appropriate classification and labelling structures
  • Map business data requirements to technical data schemas and labelling standards
  • Collaborate with data governance and security teams to ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and document data dependencies, flows, and transformations
  • Develop detailed process maps for both current (as-is) and future (to-be) states
  • Ensure changes to requirements are controlled, documented, and communicated effectively
  • Support governance processes, including validation, sign-off, and audit readiness

About You

  • Applicants must hold active SC clearance and have worked within a government department within the past 12 months.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within technology or transformation programmes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with data analysis, data mapping, or data governance frameworks
  • Proficiency in process mapping tools
  • Ability to manage stakeholders across business and technical teams
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies
