About The Role

This position requires the successful candidate to work on a W2 directly with FDM. We cannot accept C2C, 1099 or employment sponsorship (e.g. H1-B) for this position.

FDM is seeking a Consultant Engineer (Graph Intelligence Software) to support a project in the Graph Database Software sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 6 months but may be extended.

This role will be remote with requirements to be in office 0 days per week.

About You

As a Consulting Engineer, you will work closely with enterprise customers to implement graph-powered solutions, contributing to all phases of the Graph intelligence software implementation within their projects, from inception to roll-out.
Partnering with customer engineering teams and Principal/Senior Consulting Engineers, you will design graph data models, and help deliver successful implementations from initial design through to production deployment.


You will act as a trusted technical advisor during consulting engagements, working hands-on with Graph intelligence technology while helping customers adopt best practices for graph data modelling, application development, and modern AI-powered data architectures.
You will also help customers solve complex data and analytics challenges by applying graph technology to deliver practical, production-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with customer engineering teams to lead and contribute to Graph intelligence implementations across the full project lifecycle, from initial design through to production roll-out
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert on consulting engagements, providing hands-on guidance and technical leadership for succeeding with Graph intelligence technology
  • Design and implement graph data models that represent complex relationships and support high-performance querying and analytics
  • Architect and build solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements using Graph intelligence software
  •  Support modern data and AI architectures by structuring graph data to enable advanced analytics, search, and emerging AI patterns such as RAG
  • Collaborate with customer AI and data teams to integrate Graph intelligence software into modern orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex
  • Provide guidance to customers on best practices for Data Engineering, focusing on optimizing data ingestion patterns into Graph intelligence software.
  • Develop solution architectures that address the technical requirements of customer projects
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear guidance for customer engineers and stakeholders
  • Contribute to solution proposals, level of effort assessments, SOWs and technical recommendations for customer engineering and leadership teams
  • Train and mentor customer teams on Graph intelligence software best practices and graph development techniques
  • Work collaboratively with Graph intelligence software sales, sales engineering and support teams to ensure successful customer outcomes
Travel may be required depending on customer engagement needs
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
    3+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise-class applications, with a focus on data-driven or analytics-focused systems
  • Strong experience in data modelling and designing data structures for complex applications, with familiarity across relational, NoSQL, or graph databases
  • Experience designing scalable software architectures and working within modern application development environments
  • Practical experience data engineering and structuring and optimizing data for modern search, analytics, or AI-driven applications
  • Competence and hands-on experience in at least one of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, or C#
  • Experience deploying applications on modern platforms such as Linux, Docker, or Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with source control and development workflows using tools such as Git
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts in customer settings
  • Confidence presenting technical solutions and building strong customer relationships
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional organization
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and development approaches
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
