This position requires the successful candidate to work on a W2 directly with FDM. We cannot accept C2C, 1099 or employment sponsorship (e.g. H1-B) for this position.

FDM is seeking a Trade Support Investment Operations Analyst located in New York to support a project in the Investment Management sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 6 months but may be extended.

This role will be hybrid with requirements to be in office 3 days per week.

About You

  • New York-based investment management firm specializing in municipal bonds, structured credit, corporate credit, and emerging market debt, with approximately $160 billion in assets under management and offices in New York, New Jersey, and Los Angeles
    • They are seeking to hire a Trade Support Investment Manager Operations Analyst in Fixed Income.

    • Support daily trade lifecycle processing across portfolio management, trading, custodians, brokers, and counterparties.
    • Monitor and resolve trade exceptions, settlements, and reconciliation breaks.
    • Ensure accurate trade capture and allocation in portfolio accounting systems.
    • Coordinate with traders, portfolio managers, compliance, and external service providers.
    • Perform cash, position, and transaction reconciliations.
    • Investigate and resolve settlement failures and operational issues.
    • Assist with reporting, process improvements, and operational controls.
    • Support regulatory and audit requirements related to investment operations.
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
    • 1 to 5 years of investment operations, trade support, middle-office, or settlement experience.
    • Knowledge of fixed income securities, bonds, derivatives, or asset management operations.
    • Experience with Bloomberg, Aladdin, Charles River, or portfolio accounting platforms is often preferred.
    • Strong Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced investment management environment.
