About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Junior PMO Analyst to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is an initial 6 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London.

We are looking for an energetic, proactive and ambitious Junior PMO professional who is eager to learn, develop their career and gain exposure within a fast-paced financial services environment. The successful candidate will support project delivery, governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement activities across a portfolio of technology and business change initiatives. The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop project management and PMO expertise while working alongside experienced delivery and transformation professionals.

This position will play a key role in maintaining project controls, supporting governance activities, managing documentation and helping ensure successful delivery of strategic programmes.

Responsibilities: 
  • Support the PMO function across a range of technology and business change projects.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of project plans, RAID logs, status reports and governance documentation.
  • Coordinate project meetings, workshops and steering committee activities, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up of actions.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, risks, issues and dependencies, escalating where appropriate.
  • Produce regular project reporting and management information for stakeholders.
  • Support resource planning, project financial tracking and capacity management activities.
  • Maintain programme documentation and ensure governance standards are consistently applied.
  • Work closely with project managers, business stakeholders and technical teams to support successful project delivery.

About You

  • Previous experience in a PMO, Project Support, Project Coordinator or Junior Project Management role, or relevant internship/placement experience.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality documentation and reporting.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience maintaining project artefacts including RAID logs, action trackers, governance packs and status reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Desirable Skills:
  • Exposure to financial services, banking or regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • PMO, project management or business analysis certifications.
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint or similar platforms.
