About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Technical PAM Consultant to join our Global Systems Integrator client. This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in a strategic Privileged Access Management (PAM) programme, providing deep technical expertise across identity security, privileged access controls, and enterprise cyber security transformation. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a remote role.

You will act as a subject matter expert for PAM and Identity & Access Management (IAM), helping to shape the future direction of a global privileged access strategy. Working closely with security leadership, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders, you will provide technical guidance on the evolution of an existing CyberArk estate, including long-term plans to transition towards a SaaS-based solution capable of supporting a global user base.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior cyber security consultant who enjoys combining hands-on technical expertise with strategic advisory work in a complex enterprise environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical PAM Consultant with extensive experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM), particularly within CyberArk environments. You will work directly with senior security leadership, supporting the assessment, design, and optimisation of privileged access capabilities across the organisation.

The role will be focused on providing technical leadership and consultancy around PAM architecture, security controls, and strategic roadmap planning. You will help guide the organisation's journey towards a modern, scalable privileged access platform while ensuring current controls remain effective and aligned with security best practice.

There may also be opportunities to support adjacent identity security initiatives, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) projects and broader identity transformation activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the technical SME for Privileged Access Management and Identity Security
  • Providing expert guidance on CyberArk architecture, configuration, and best practices
  • Assessing the current PAM estate and identifying opportunities for improvement and optimisation
  • Supporting the strategic roadmap for the evolution of CyberArk towards a SaaS-based delivery model
  • Reviewing existing privileged access controls, security policies, and operational processes
  • Working closely with security leadership to define future-state PAM capabilities
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to align security objectives with business requirements
  • Supporting identity security initiatives including privileged access governance and MFA-related projects
  • Producing technical documentation, recommendations, and architecture artefacts
  • Advising on PAM-related risks, security controls, and industry best practice
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the programme lifecycle

About You

  • Proven experience operating as a Senior PAM Consultant, IAM Consultant, or Identity Security SME
  • Extensive hands-on experience with CyberArk PAM solutions in large enterprise environments
  • Strong knowledge of Privileged Access Management principles, controls, and security best practices
  • Experience designing, implementing, and optimising CyberArk solutions
  • Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management technologies and frameworks
  • Experience developing PAM roadmaps and supporting enterprise security transformation initiatives
  • Knowledge of privileged account governance, authentication, and access control models
  • Experience working with security architecture and enterprise security tooling
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and technical teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and advisory skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting CyberArk SaaS migrations or cloud-based PAM transformations
  • Experience working within a consultancy or Global Systems Integrator environment
  • Experience supporting MFA implementation or identity modernisation programmes
  • Knowledge of Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID and related identity technologies
  • Experience working in highly regulated or security-conscious environments
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and Zero Trust principles
  • Relevant certifications such as:
    • CyberArk Defender / Sentry certifications
    • CISSP
