About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Project Manager to work for our client within the Banking sector. This is initially a 4 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a Hybrid role that will be based in London.

One Project Manager will support the Head of Transformation by providing hands-on programme delivery leadership to design and drive the go-live enablement approach (how we package the change, “sell” the value, and train/enable the function) and to run the go-live readiness tracking and governance to ensure we are genuinely ready to launch.

The role strengthens orchestration across Sponsors/SLT, SMEs, Methodology, Digital/Tech and BAU owners, maintaining delivery discipline and reducing risk from fragmented enablement and unmanaged dependencies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of the go-live and enablement strategy for a major transformation programme.
  • Create clear and engaging communications that explain upcoming changes, benefits, and impacts to stakeholders.
  • Design and coordinate training and adoption activities for a large global workforce.
  • Manage the delivery of communications, training materials, and engagement activities across multiple teams and regions.
  • Establish and maintain programme readiness tracking, dashboards, and reporting to monitor launch preparedness.
  • Facilitate governance meetings, manage actions and risks, and support key implementation decisions.
  • Track dependencies across multiple workstreams, ensuring issues are identified, escalated, and resolved promptly.
  • Plan and oversee post-launch support activities, driving continuous improvement and successful adoption.

About You

  • Proven experience managing complex programmes or projects involving multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and dependencies.
  • Demonstrated success delivering large-scale change, including communications, training, and adoption initiatives.
  • Strong business readiness and go-live planning experience, including tracking progress against key milestones.
  • Ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies, and governance processes to ensure successful delivery.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate in matrix environments without direct authority.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills, capable of presenting clear, concise updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working with diverse, global teams across different time zones and cultures.
  • Highly organised and delivery-focused, with the ability to drive actions through to completion in fast-paced environments.
