About The Role

As a Payroll Administrator, you will be working with team members through the full payroll cycle to ensure payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner. You will be responsible for updating the payroll system with details relating to new starters, leavers, rate changes and other variable elements. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting with payroll checks and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Processing the full cycle and maintaining the payroll system, working diligently to ensure accuracy
Updating the payroll memos and ensuring all changes are processed on the payroll system
Running and importing hours from the timesheet system onto the payroll system
Liaising with People Team regarding payroll changes on a regular basis
Responding to queries from employees
Completing required controls and risk checks to ensure payroll has been accurately updated
Assist in ensuring payroll is complying with legislation and raising any concerns

About You

  • Approximately one year of payroll administration experience, supporting the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll.
  • Familiar with payroll systems and maintaining employee records with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of payroll-related legislation, including tax, National Insurance, statutory payments, and pension administration.
  • Experience responding to employee payroll queries in a professional and customer-focused manner.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to manage confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion and integrity.
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet strict payroll deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, building effective working relationships with employees, HR teams, and external providers.
  • Keen to develop payroll knowledge further and progress within a payroll and wider people function environment.
