Senior Business Analyst- Cheshire or Glasgow

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Business Analyst to work for our client within the financial services and pensions sector. This is a fixed-term contract running until April 2027 and will be a hybrid role based in Cheshire or Glasgow.

Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the delivery of pension administration workflows and reporting requirements. You will work closely with business subject matter experts, an external technology vendor and internal testing colleagues to translate requirements into clear user stories, processes and operational procedures that support successful development and go-live readiness. 

Responsibilities:

•  Elicit and document requirements from business subject matter experts for pension administration workflows and reporting.
• Produce clear user stories, acceptance criteria and process maps that accurately reflect business needs.
• Lead refinement sessions with the third-party vendor, enabling requirements to progress into development.
• Create and manage user stories and backlog items within Azure DevOps Boards.
• Work closely with the internal test team to share business knowledge, requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Document future-state procedures to support operational readiness and a smooth go-live.

• Essential experience working within the pensions industry.
• Strong business analysis experience, including requirements elicitation, user stories and process mapping.
• Experience managing user stories and backlogs using Azure DevOps Boards.
• Proven ability to work effectively with third-party vendors and internal delivery teams.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with external vendors and internal colleagues.
• Experience supporting testing activities by defining and communicating clear acceptance criteria.
• Experience documenting future-state processes and procedures to support business readiness and go-live.
• Defined Benefit pensions experience would be advantageous.
