About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy. We are hiring for a Quality Assurance Analyst (AVP Level) on behalf of our banking client. This is a hybrid role based in Glasgow, with an expectation of three days per week in the office and an initial 6-month contract.

You will support a critical Correspondent Banking programme, performing Level 2 (L2) Quality Assurance assessments across KYC and Financial Crime processes. The role is focused on independently reviewing completed case work, identifying quality gaps, assessing adherence to policy and regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvement across operational teams.

This position would suit an experienced Quality Assurance professional with a strong understanding of Correspondent Banking, Financial Crime controls, and regulatory obligations within a complex banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct L2 Quality Assurance reviews across Correspondent Banking KYC and Financial Crime assessments.
  • Evaluate the quality, accuracy and completeness of customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence reviews.
  • Assess adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and Financial Crime frameworks.
  • Identify recurring quality themes, control weaknesses, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Provide detailed feedback to operational teams and stakeholders to improve quality standards.
  • Produce quality assurance reporting, management information (MI), and trend analysis.
  • Support governance, audit, regulatory and remediation activities where required.
  • Escalate material findings and emerging risks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of QA methodologies, procedures and controls.
  • Partner with Operations, Compliance, Financial Crime, Risk and Change teams to drive continuous improvement.

About You

  • Experience operating at AVP level or equivalent within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Strong Quality Assurance, Quality Control or Audit experience within Financial Crime, KYC, AML or Correspondent Banking functions.
  • Knowledge of Correspondent Banking customer types, products, risks and regulatory expectations.
  • Experience reviewing complex KYC files, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) assessments and Financial Crime controls.
  • Strong understanding of AML, Sanctions, PEP and Financial Crime regulations.
  • Experience identifying trends, root causes and quality improvement opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise reporting and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Desirable Experience:
  • Previous experience supporting Correspondent Banking remediation, review or transformation programmes.
  • Knowledge of Wolfsberg principles and Correspondent Banking standards.
  • Experience producing MI, dashboards or quality metrics.
  • ICA, ACAMS or other Financial Crime related qualifications.
  • Previous exposure to regulatory reviews, audit engagements or assurance functions.
