About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Adoption and Change Lead to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Preston.

Our client is seeking an Adoption and Change Lead to drive the people and organisational change activity for a digital engineering adoption programme. Using an ADKAR-based approach, you will shape how change is introduced, understood and embedded across a complex organisation. The role combines strategic stakeholder engagement with hands-on delivery, covering adoption measurement, training, communications and coaching. You will also establish networks of change champions and work with senior leadership across programme teams to support colleagues throughout the transition.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead change management activity across the digital engineering adoption programme using an ADKAR-based approach.
  • Define and track adoption measures covering readiness, training completion and user satisfaction, providing inputs into monthly reporting.
  • Establish change champion networks to strengthen engagement and support adoption across programme teams.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions with senior leaders to build understanding and support for programme change.
  • Develop training, communications and coaching activities that help colleagues navigate and embed new ways of working.

About You

  • Demonstrable experience delivering organisational change within a large, matrixed organisation.
  • Strong practical knowledge of ADKAR and its application within change and adoption programmes.
  • Experience using adoption measures, including readiness, training completion and user satisfaction, to monitor change.
  • Experience delivering training, communications and coaching activities as part of organisational transition.
  • Desirable: Experience working within a defence manufacturing organisation or a similarly regulated sector.
  • Must hold active Security Check (SC) clearance.
  • Must be able to commute to Preston and work on site three days per week.
