About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking Business Analysts to work with our global systems integrator client on a major Central Government Service Transformation Programme. This initiative forms part of a core-funded Service Transformation Portfolio, focused on improving operational efficiency, increasing productivity, reducing costs, and accelerating the digitisation of critical business processes.

As part of a significant programme expansion, we are seeking experienced Business Analysts with process improvement and automation expertise to join multidisciplinary delivery pods responsible for identifying opportunities for digitisation, capturing business requirements, and supporting the delivery of innovative low-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, GOV.UK services, and no-code/low-code forms technologies. This is an initial assignment running through to March 2027, with strong potential for extension as additional discovery activity and delivery workstreams are onboarded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, requirements, and opportunities for automation
  • Conducting workshops, interviews, and process discovery sessions to capture business and user needs
  • Analysing existing business processes and identifying opportunities for digitisation, optimisation, and service improvement
  • Documenting functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria
  • Creating process maps, workflow diagrams, wireframes, and business analysis artefacts to support solution design
  • Supporting the design and development of case management systems, digital forms, and workflow automation solutions
  • Collaborating closely with Delivery Managers, Developers, UX Designers, and Architects throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Ensuring solutions align with business objectives, user needs, and GOV.UK service standards
  • Supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, and user acceptance activities
  • Facilitating communication between business and technical stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of requirements
  • Identifying risks, assumptions, dependencies, and impacts associated with proposed solutions
  • Supporting change management, process adoption, and benefits realisation activities
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and the identification of further automation opportunities
