About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Communications Lead in Northampton to work for our client within the Finance sector.

Working as part of the Portfolio Management team across Risk, Finance and Treasury (RFT), Enterprise Data Management (EDP) and Functions Technology (FT), the Communication Lead will support the delivery of effective, targeted communications to a wide range of internal and external stakeholder groups. You will support the development of communications and management of events globally, as well as engagement with Group Communications, to ensure effective and consistent communication to over 5,000 colleagues.

You must be proactive, result oriented, structured, and able to operate under pressure and at pace adhering to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the end-to-end delivery of timely, targeted, creative, and effective communications
  • Apply relevant brand and communications guidelines to all communications
  • Deliver high-quality, impactful Portfolio communications materials, using available internal and external channels (including SharePoint, Newsletters, Webcasts, Vevox)
  • Develop and maintain a high-level understanding of the business unit, change delivery environment and supporting controls to ensure communications materials are appropriate to the intended audience
  • Support the implementation and embedding of processes to measure the effectiveness of communications and recommend subsequent improvements
  • Provide ad hoc support to senior leaders in developing communications

About You

Requirements

  • Proven communications experience and expertise with excellent writing skills. Deliver complex messages in a clear and compelling way, working at pace, to tight deadlines
  • Ability to think strategically, creatively and solve problems
  • Sound understanding and interest in Technology and Change Management with an ability to translate Technology objectives into integrated, targeted communications plans
  • Proven relationship building skills with an ability to balance, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders across businesses and geographies to achieve buy-in to strategy, programmes and activity
  • Demonstrable project management and delivery experience. Effective planner, with strong organisational & prioritisation skills, able to influence and negotiate, with commercial acumen and business knowledge
  • Good understanding of the finance industry
  • Ability to challenge, build credibility and work with integrity at all levels within the organisation
  • Understanding and managing relevant risk, governance, compliance and control issues
  • Experience of creating and managing sharepoint sites, communications & content management tools
