About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Technical Delivery Manager in Bristol to work for our client within the Finance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract.

Our client is creating exciting opportunities to improve customer experiences for their commercial cards clients for years to come. As a Technical Delivery Manager, you will drive the delivery of reliable, scalable, and functionally rich software solutions. You'll be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are crucial to our client’s success, this is a senior leadership level role and will blend both technical expertise with great passion for coaching and developing people including advocation for team wellbeing.

 

Responsibilities

Working with feature teams to deliver incrementally and get real customer feedback using our client’s group agile processes:

  • Coordinates team changes to be delivered safely and securely, following defined processes, using knowledge of IT security, availability, and resilience
  • Coordination with external partners to align efforts, allowing the lab to work efficiently and make lab-produced items easily accessible
  • Cataloguing and managing technology dependencies and risks for delivery and operations
  • Fixing any obstacles to timely delivery by actively monitoring, solving, and diagnosing technical problems, and advancing them to product owner(s) or lab leadership

About You

Requirements

  • Confident with scaled agile delivery methods, including planning, tracking, reporting, governance, and problem solving
  • Breadth of technical understanding across development, operations, application, and infrastructure
  • Strong communication skills, dynamic and adaptable, with the ability to facilitate efficient and effective decision-making
  • Strong collaborator, capable of building and sustaining relationships at all levels
  • Active listening and empathy to connect with and motivate others
  • Experience in public cloud-based delivery, technical infrastructure delivery, and application migrations is highly desirable
