About The Role

The Delivery Assurance role is accountable to support a variety of governance activities critical to enable the Enterprise Portfolio Enablement team and the larger Information Technology Solutions division.  

 Assurance Oversight: 
Ensure adherence to governance frameworks and standards for both Agile and Waterfall projects, including regular compliance reviews, reporting, and risk management.
Track and analyze delivery performance metrics to ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards.
Conduct delivery assurance reviews to evaluate project progress, identify risks, and ensure alignment with Vancity’s strategic goals.
Prepare and present regular reports on delivery performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
Ensure all delivery activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and report on delivery risks and issues and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.

Process Development: 
Create, document, and maintain processes and procedures for project governance, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Proactively identify potential delivery issues and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: 
Work closely with project teams to provide guidance and support, helping to resolve governance-related challenges and ensuring best practices are followed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements that enhance delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide training and support to project managers and teams on governance procedures and promote the use of governance tools and methodologies.
Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure that project governance processes are transparent, well-communicated, and aligned with business needs.


 

About You

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in delivery assurance, project delivery or a similar role with Proven experience in developing and implementing governance procedures and processes
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of both agile and waterfall delivery models, with experience working in hybrid environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in delivery management software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to interpret data trends, draw insights, and provide actionable recommendations.  
  • Knowledge of financial services or credit union operations is an asset.
