About The Role

The People Operations Team Leader will support the People Operations Manager to plan and deliver a first-class operational function and a seamless transactional people service. You will also be responsible for the day to day management of the People Operations Team, supporting the delivery of operational excellence and working closely with Management and Internal Business Partners to optimise processes, policies and procedures to make it easy for managers and colleagues across FDM to work with the People Team. 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan the daily/weekly workload for a team of People Operations Assistants/Coordinators to support business priorities to ensure all key BAU tasks and project work is completed timely
  • Work closely with HR systems teams to design and implement a change management programme for automation of key HR processes
  • Management of day-to-day People Operations activities, with a focus on employee lifecycle processes and payroll activities, making sure the basics are right and quality standards maintained
  • Support the development of the People Operations Team inspiring innovation, ownership and a passion for a solution-focused, customer-centric service
  • Ensure monthly payroll data prepared by the People Operations Team is accurate and provided to the payroll team in accordance with the payroll schedule
  • Support the design and delivery of SLAs/ MI to the business on key People Operations Team metrics, reviewing, analysing and identifying trends, using this data to inform performance reviews
  • Support the design and delivery of robust, scalable HR processes and key people team initiatives
  • Manage performance reviews and development planning for the People Operations Team to ensure they achieve team and individual objectives and report on team performance against metrics
  • Support the Internal HR Business Partner with People Team admin and work with Internal BP’s on internal staff processes
  • Work closely with the People Team Transformation and Vetting Team Leads to improve JML processes and ensure compliance
  • Work with the People Operations Team to maintain the integrity of our People Data in the HRIS – be audit ready every day
  • Support the review, design and implementation of people policies and procedures, ensuring these are kept up to date and are reflective of company culture
  • Liaise with peers in other global locations on continuous improvement projects / operational efficiencies

About You

  • Proven experience managing/supervising a HR Operations team   
  • Experienced at setting, tracking and reporting KPIs & SLAs  
  • Experienced at setting personal and team objectives and holding performance reviews  
  • Experienced with SuccessFactors/SAP or a similar HRIS  
  • Resilient to change and able to deliver effectively in a fast-paced work environment  
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and identify opportunities for process improvement  
  • Ability to adapt  
  • Ability to prioritise, focus on projects balanced with BAU activities and multi-task effectively  
  • Strong communication / relationship building skills and stakeholder management  
  • Passionate about delivering a first-class People Team service
Desirable but not essential
  •  Level 5 or above CIPD qualified
